Plain Air Painting
in Green Wolf
23rd May 2026 Plain Air sketching and watercolour paintings workshop at Green Wolf, Woolpit
Past - We’ll look at capturing landscape and play with its many aspects; light; movement; colours; space and depth.
We are going to start with a coffee/tea and a cake from the the Green Wolf cafe 🍰🧚🏻♂️ and some easy warm up exercises and sketches using our imagination.
Then we’ll move onto finding your own location within the ground around the lake; creating a number of quicker charcoal/pencil sketches; playing with framing what’s right in front of us.
You can choose to either work at an easel/ sitting pad or one of the benches; and try and see what works for you. The last half of the workshop we’ll focus on creating one final piece, I’ll be painting alongside you and provide gentle guidance and help if needed x
The main focus of the workshop is enjoying the process - painting outdoors is a lot of fun; it allows us to see the landscape anew and use painting as a tool to explore it.
Spaces limited to 4-6, booking in advance required, session is for adults.
